Often we marketers and fundraisers tend to be overly critical of our constituents. Why don’t they give more? Why won’t they get involved? How come no one is interacting with my site? Next week, let’s look at our own reasons for volunteering and philanthropy by examining one organization in which we engage currently. Ask yourself these questions:
1. How long have you been involved in the organization?
2. Why did you start engaging with the organization/what is your story?
3. Why do you find value in contributing?
Often when we can look into how we measure our own time/money in philanthropy we can understand what we need to know to involve others in philanthropy.
