This month we wanted to share with you a great pro-bono project we have completed for our friends in Italy!

A couple months ago, I was fortunate to travel to Italy with my mother and her Legatus group. Along the trip, we had the chance to meet some of the Brothers of the Legionaries of Christ.

The Legionaries of Christ are a religious Congregation of priests founded in 1941 in Mexico. In 1965, Pope Paul VI granted the Decretum Laudis to the Legion. In 1983, Pope John Paul II approved the Constitutions that govern us at present. Their religious family is made up of priests and students for the priesthood. We seek to work together with bishops, priests and all Christians in the task of the New Evangelization, contributing our charism and spirituality to the Church’s mission.

These Brothers were engaging, entertaining, and so enlightening! A couple glasses of wine into our lunch with them, Brother Kevin spoke of a fundraiser that they were setting up. I was blown away with it’s creativity and their initiative, however they said a major challenge was their inability to get a website up and ready in time…well, I knew someone who could!

Shortly afterward and back in the US, Anthony and I were “skyping” with Brother Kevin and his team to get up a website that would spread the news and solicit donations. We met deadlines and put together a great site- for a great group of gentlemen. They ended up raising close to $40,000 for their efforts and we will continue to provide support in their efforts!

We encourage you to check out their site and the great work of these gentlemen over in Italy!
